  Mendi Goikoa is a super charming little hotel it is not particularly modern and oh so better for that! Lots of bare stone and timbers. Service is exceedingly gracious and helpful. The food was very good although it does suffer a tiny bit in comparison to the little grilling place down the road.

  I absolutely love Mende Goika and Axpe in general. The rooms in the hotel are wonderful ,the breakfast looking out at the mountain ,wow. Whenever I have been there the breakfast selection always, inexplicably and delightfully, included Scottish Short Bread. The meals in the restaurant have always been a delight and the restaurant itself a living museum. I even sat at the table the previous King of Spain had used. For such a lovely place it is happily unpretentious and a complete delight.

  This restaurant is located in a beautiful part of the Basque countryside. The food is excellent snd, while it is not cheap, it offers fantastic value for money. I have eaten there a few times and never been disappointed.

  He estado en una boda y el sitio es espectacular. La comida estuvo muy rica y la boda salió genial. Si le pusiese una pega, es que al servir las mesas sirven a 4 personas de cada mesa, de forma que cada mesa tiene algún comensal con plato y el resto no. También puede que sea porque mi mesa era enorme.
